Fall 2020 FAQs

How do I learn what fraternities and sororities are at TCU?

TCU Fraternity and Sorority Life is comprised of five governing councils and 40+ individual organizations. For more information on each specific council and the organizations housed within those councils, please visit: https://greeks.tcu.edu/organizations-2/

Will the fraternities and sororities take new members this year?

Yes, our organizations intend to conduct various recruitment/intake processes this year. Those processes will be conducted largely via virtual means and look entirely different than in years’ past.

What will the new member experience look like this year?

New members should expect a high volume of virtual interactions and engagement and limited in-person functions. In-person functions must adhere to all CDC and TCU regulations for safety, including the use of face coverings and social distancing measures.

How do I get connected to the organizations?

Check out www.greeks.tcu.edu and follow us on social media. You can also visit individual chapter sites and social media accounts.
If you are interested in IFC or Panhellenic organizations, you need to register for their individual formal recruitment processes. The link to register is on www.greeks.tcu.edu.

National Pan-Hellenic Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and Independent Greek Council will participate in the Student Activities Fair in the early Fall 2020 semester.

Will chapters be able to host meetings or other events during the Fall 2020 semester?

Students should plan on primarily virtual events and experiences with their respective organizations. More information will be made available prior to and throughout the Fall semester as we work with University officials, Tarrant County Public Health, National/International organizations and governing councils.

Will chapters be able to have traditional social events?

Currently, the University is evaluating the impact of all major events and procedures for those events that involve TCU students and will make recommendations at a later date.
